Overview

Various chemicals used in the textile processing processes are known to have negative impacts on human health and the environment. This training course explains the impact of chemicals in textile on human health and/or the environment. Learners will get an insight about the need for chemical management and measures to reduce its impact on human health and environment. The training gives an overview of the important NGO campaigns and their impact on textile supply chain. The purpose and goal of organizations and standards such as ZDHC and Higg Index is also summarized in this course. The course also covers important developments that took place on chemical management in textiles.

The training is self-paced; hence it is up to the participants to complete the training as per their own time. The participants will receive a ‘Certificate of Achievement’ on successfully completing the training course. The duration of this training is around 1 hour. The training provides additional downloadable resource materials.
