Overview

Welcome to this course on Level 2 of the Higg FEM V4.0 – ‘Energy and GHG Section’. This course is designed to provide an overview of requirements for facilities to achieve Level 2 in the Higg FEM Energy and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Section. This training course defines the steps for establishing baselines for Energy and Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG Emissions reductions as well as setting targets for the same. It helps facilities to understand the methods used to identify significant sources of energy use. The learners will also understand the steps to develop Coal Phase-out plan. Course gives an overview on conducting energy audits and demonstrating improvements by reducing energy consumption. The Training program is run entirely online in the form of an audio-visual learning. You will be able to take the training at your convenient time. The Technical Content in the Training is interspersed with Activities, Knowledge Checks, and downloadable Resource Materials. You will be given access to the training course for 6 Months from the moment you launch the course. The duration of this course is 60-90 minutes.

Structure

This course will provide the participant with an overview of details required to be filled in Level 2 of the Higg FEM Energy Section. Additionally, the following topics will be covered in the Training -

• Setting a foundation for reducing Energy and Scope 1 and Scope 2 GHG Emissions.
• Creating a process to identify and analyze key energy-consuming operations and processes.
• Establishing goals for Energy and Scope 1 and Scope 2 Emissions reductions.
• Creating strategies to replace Coal with cleaner alternatives.
• Performing Energy Audits to uncover improvement opportunities.
• Showing progress by lowering Energy Consumption.
