Overview

Welcome to Higg FEM V4.0 'Chemicals Management' section (Level 3). This training highlights the general practices and criteria outlined in the Higg FEM for achieving Level 3 status in the Chemical Management Section.

Upon completing this training, participants will gain an understanding about industry programs for Chemical Management such as ZDHC Supplier to Zero. The importance of transparency policy to communicate the information regarding chemical products, chemical waste, and wastewater is highlighted in this course. It also talks about the collaboration with brands and chemical suppliers to identify and assess safer chemical alternatives and the need for product lifecycle assessment. The course provides an overview of the Supply-chain partner engagement to source chemicals from positive lists that go beyond RSL / MRSL Requirements.

The Training program is run entirely online in the form of an audio-visual learning. You will be able to take the training at your convenient time. The Technical Content in the Training is interspersed with Activities, Knowledge Checks, and downloadable Resource Materials.

You will be given access to the training course for 6 Months from the moment you launch the course.

The duration of each course is 75-90 minutes.

Structure

This course will provide the participant with an outline on the details required to be filled in the Level 3 of the Chemical Management Section of the Higg FEM self-assessment. Additionally, the following topics will be covered in the Training-

•  Adopting and implementing Chemical Management Industry Standards such as ZDHC Supplier to Zero
•  Establishing a transparency policy for communicating information on chemical products, waste, and wastewater
•  Collaborating with brands and chemical suppliers to evaluate safer chemical alternatives
•  Conducting product lifecycle assessment       
•  Engaging Supply-chain partners to procure chemicals from positive lists that go beyond RSL or MRSL requirements
