Overview

Welcome to this training module focusing on the Higg FEM 'Water Use' section. This course offers a comprehensive overview of the requirements for achieving level 2 in water use section. By the end of this course, participants will acquire the skills to establish baselines for reducing water use and to set corresponding targets. They will learn how to implement a water balance or analysis to identify and prioritize actions for reducing water consumption. The course also covers setting targets to enhance rainwater harvesting capacity at the facility and developing plans to improve overall water consumption practices. Participants will also gain insights into demonstrating improvements by reducing blue water use and increasing grey water use. The Training program is run entirely online in the form of an audio-visual learning. You will be able to take the training at your convenient time. The Technical Content in the Training is interspersed with Activities, Knowledge Checks, and downloadable Resource Materials. You will be given access to the training course for 6 Months from the moment you launch the course. The duration of this course is 60 - 90 minutes.

Structure

This course will provide the participant with an outline on the details required to be filled in the Water Use Section of the Higg FEM self-assessment. Additionally, the following topics will be covered in the Training-

• Establishing a baseline for reducing Water consumption.
• Executing a water balance/water analysis to pinpoint and prioritize reduction measures.
• Establishing goals to decrease blue water use and increase grey water use.
• Setting objectives to enhance rainwater harvesting capacity at the facility.
• Creating strategies to enhance water management.
• Illustrating progress through reductions in blue water use and increases in grey water use.
