Overview

Welcome to this course on the ‘Water Use’ section of the Higg FEM V4.0. This course provides an overview of Water use management and how to track, monitor and reduce water consumption.  

On completion of this course, participants will be able to define their organization's water sources and establish a water tracking program. They will get an overview of restrictions on Groundwater Abstractions. The course will also provide an insight on processes that facilities can establish to monitor its network for water leaks. 

The Training program is run entirely online in the form of an audio-visual learning. You will be able to take the training at your convenient time. The Technical Content in the Training is interspersed with Activities, Knowledge Checks, and downloadable Resource Materials.

You will be given access to the training course for 6 Months from the moment you launch the course.

The duration of this course is 45-60 minutes. 

Structure

This course will provide the participant with an outline on the details required to be filled in the Water Use Section of the Higg FEM self-assessment.  Additionally, the following topics will be covered in the Training-

• Common sources of water use at manufacturing facilities and its impact on the environment
• Tracking and reporting Water sources for domestic and well as production processes
• Tools for measurement and determining the facility's most significant sources of water use 
• Identifying water intensive operations
• Reporting groundwater abstraction restrictions 
• Processes to inspect and monitor water supply network for leaks
