Overview

Welcome to this training course on Level 3 of the Higg FEM V4.0 – ‘Energy and GHG Section’. On completing this course learners will get an overview of requirements for facilities to achieve Level 3 in the Higg FEM Energy and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Section.

This training course defines the methods to identify and calculate Scope 3 emissions. It talks about establishing Science-based GHG Emission Targets. Evaluating options to phase-out fossil fuels other than coal and replacing them with on-site renewable energy options are also discussed in this course.

The Training program is run entirely online in the form of an audio-visual learning. You will be able to take the training at your convenient time. The Technical Content in the Training is interspersed with Activities, Knowledge Checks, and downloadable Resource Materials.

You will be given access to the training course for 6 Months from the moment you launch the course.

The duration of this course is 60-90 minutes. 

Structure

This course will provide the participant with an overview of details required to achieve Level 3 in the Higg FEM Energy Section.

Additionally, the following topics will be covered in the Training -

• Identification and Calculation of Scope 3 GHG emissions.     
• Setting GHG reduction target in line with the ‘Science Based Target’     
• Formal plans and actions to phase-out fossil fuels other than coal
• Replace on-site fossil fuel use with renewable energy
