Overview

Welcome to this course on Level 3 of the ‘Water Use’ section based on Higg FEM V4.0. This module aims to assist facilities in achieving Level 3 in the Higg FEM Water Use Section.

This training course covers the importance of groundwater and absolute water use reduction within the facility. Reporting water risk and consumption data, developing plans to implement leading technologies and Setting Science Based Targets for water use are also discussed in this course.

The training program is conducted entirely online in the form of audio-visual learning. Learners will be able to take the training at their convenient time. The Technical Content in the Training is interspersed with Activities, Knowledge Checks, and downloadable Resource Materials.

Learners will be given access to the training course for 6 Months from the moment you launch the course. The duration of this course is around 60 minutes. 

Structure

This course will provide the participant with an overview of details required to achieve Level 3 in the Higg FEM Water Use Section. The following topics will be covered in the Training –

·         Eliminating or reducing the use of groundwater for production.

·         Demonstrating the reduction of absolute blue water use at the facility.

·         Reporting water risk and consumption data using an external standard or platform such as GRI/CDP.

·         Demonstrating positive impact on the water catchment area or water source in the community.

·         Developing plans to implement leading technologies to reduce water use.

·         Setting Science Based Targets for water use.
