A Safety Data Sheet (SDS) or formerly known as MSDS, is a document provided by a Chemical Manufacturer for each Product. The SDS includes information such as properties of each chemical, their physical, health and environmental hazards, protective measures and safety precautions to be undertaken for handling, storage and transporting the Chemical.
A Safety Data Sheet provides specific guidance on Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), First-Aid Procedures and Spill clean-up Procedures.
This Training Course is designed to explain the purpose and scope of a SDS and understand the different sections in the SDS document. Further, the course aims at training Learners to read and interpret a Safety Data Sheet for Chemical Hazards.
Learners after taking the course and completing the exam will receive a certificate of Achievement. The course provides additional downloadable resource material that can be used for future reference. The duration of the training is around 60 minutes.
