Structure

Higg FEM V4.0 Air Emissions Section – Level 1

·         Potential impacts of air emissions on the environment

·         Common sources of air pollutants at manufacturing facilities and difference between point source and fugitive emissions

·         Recording data to track Air Emissions

·         Information required to create an air emission inventory

·         Relation between ODS and Air/GHG Emissions

·         Refrigerants and other Ozone depleting substances

·         Monitoring and preventing refrigerant leaks

Higg FEM V4.0 Air Emissions Section – Level 2

·         Tracking annual emissions quantities from all point source emissions related to facility operations and production.

·         Developing an implementation plan to decrease air emissions resulting from facility operations and production processes.

·         Monitoring or reporting air emissions in accordance with industry guidelines or tools for air emissions.

·         Complying with the requirements of industry guidelines on air emissions.

·         Creating plans to substitute refrigerant with low Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) or low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerant gases, surpassing current legal requirements.

Higg FEM V4.0 Air Emissions Section – Level 3

  • Demonstrating progress on implementation plans to reduce air emissions.
  • Replacing refrigerant gases used onsite with alternative refrigerants/coolants that have a reduced impact on the environment.
  • Demonstrating the implementation of BAT to minimize emissions to air from all significant emissions sources at the facility.
