Overview

Welcome to this course on Level 2 of the ‘Wastewater Section' based on Higg FEM V4.0. This course aims to provide an insight of Wastewater Management in facilities. Upon completion of this course, participants will grasp the ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines' testing requirements for achieving Foundational Level Conventional Parameters, Anion, and Heavy Metals. The training also includes testing procedures to ensure the non-detection of ZDHC MRSL Parameters in wastewater. Learners will comprehend the procedures for tracking Domestic Wastewater Sludge and maintaining manifests or similar documentation related to Domestic wastewater sludge. The course will provide an overview of plans to upgrade the septic wastewater treatment system and how to obtain quality test results from the offsite wastewater treatment plant. The Training program is run entirely online in the form of an audio-visual learning. You will be able to take the training at your convenient time. The Technical Content in the Training is interspersed with Activities, Knowledge Checks, and downloadable Resource Materials. You will be given access to the training course for 6 Months from the moment you launch the course. The duration of each course is 60-75 minutes.

Structure

This course will provide the participant with an outline on the details required to be filled in the Wastewater Section of the Higg FEM self-assessment. Additionally, the following topics will be covered in the Training-

• Testing to meet ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines for Foundational Level Conventional Parameters and Anion, and Heavy Metals.
• Ensuring ZDHC MRSL Parameters are not detected in wastewater.
• Monitoring domestic wastewater sludge.
• Maintaining manifests or similar documentation for domestic wastewater sludge.
• Considering upgrades to the septic wastewater treatment system.
• Reviewing quality test results from the offsite wastewater treatment plant.
